Watching the wildlife has been a delight. The countryside is amazing and plenty to see or do. The cottage is superb, everything you could possibly need or want. Worth it's five stars and more. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for this little gem!

What a fantastic week we've had in your lovely cottage. The cottage is just perfect (I love all the turquoise touches!) and is so well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The weather has been incredible and we have enjoyed many 'alfresco' dinners-a view to die for. And I have even got over my fear of hens, the silkie chicks are so cute. We haven't done as much walking as we would have liked - it's been too hot! (who would have believed that) but it means we will have to return!

We have loved every minute of our stay here. Beautiful cottage, spectacular views. We were lucky to have only experienced a brief shower and even that was beautiful leaving the moors refreshed and alive. We enjoyed the farm eggs for breakfast and drove to Bradford for an authentic curry. We went for gentle strolls on the moors and watched the DVD of Jane Eye and loved it. We are a little disappointed we have to leave so soon and will be back for a longer stay next time!

We have walked the moors and enjoyed the contrast between the wildness and the peace of the valleys. We have visited Haworth, Hebden Bridge and places further afield, learning much about the history of the area. And we have been blessed with days of hot sunshine. We could have asked for nothing more and are grateful to Sue for arranging the cottage so perfectly and making us so welcome.

We were warm and cosy even during the coldest of weather. The kitchen and bathroom have everything we could have wished for - super shower and very luxurious bath! The kitchen was fully equipped we really appreciated the slow cooker.

We enjoyed watching the birds feeding- so many tits, finches and even a woodpecker. The pheasants are the fatest we've seen.

We are sad our stay has come to an end, would love to come back next year. 5 stars well deserved!

Always such a lovely welcome. We came this time to take some real "time out" and not chase around too much, but we've enjoyed some walking, a meal up the lane, a trip to Hebden Bridge to lend support there and to Wycoller Country Park- a first visit there and recommend anyone to visit the village tea room!

We intend another trip to be here in the Springtime for a change. Thanks again.

We've had a fantastic time in Bronte Country. Enjoying the wonderful countryside and scenery. What has made it even more spectacular is Honeysuckle Cottage. As soon as we walked in the wow factor hit me. For us it has been quite perfect, probably the best appointed cottage we have had the pleasure in staying and the views are absolutely stunning.

Being keen walkers we particularly appreciated the comprehensive walks information Sue has supplied in the cottage, even an OS map of the area. Its like having your own personal information centre.... fantastic! Then of course the joy of seeing all the different wild birds, not forgetting the ducks and hens etc.

5 Stars! Should be 6 really! We shall be sad to leave.

Superb cottage and fantastic outlook. With such a lot to see and do in the area we may have to come back - although it certainly wouldn't take much to persuade us. Having started our first evening by watching the sheep being sheared and waiting for a newly hatched duck on our last morning, we've done a lot in between.Fantastic walks, particularly going to Stoodley Pike via Lumbutts, a great day flying birds and doing a "Hawk Walk" at SMJ falconry (just across the fields) Good food locally and not forgetting Hebden Bridge - so nice we went twice. Our fifth visit here and everything in the cottage still tiptop. We have had four seasons in one week and it really did feel like Wuthering Heights on Wednesday when the snow bleached down and the wind howled and we were marooned here for the day as the top road was closed. Thankfully the rocking chair and a good book were ample to keep us amused.

So pleased and relieved to see the sun shine through on Thursday and melt the snow and to see the wildlife return. This week we have spotted two jays and a red legged partridge and the pheasants have kept us amused as they have worked out how to use the feeding station and despite their size jump up on it. So until the next time....

Thank you, Sue for your warm welcome and hospitality. The cottage is lovely, the kitchen extremely well equipped with quality wares. The bathroom is superb - the best we have ever come across in a cottage in England. We adored the lambs, ducks and chickens, especially the new-born chicks! If there is a higher rating than 5 stars then you should receive it. Only one problem is New Zealand is so far away!!

  • What a good chance to completely relax here and be entertained by the birds, hens and wildlife. Will come again, park the car and then walk from the cottage for our daily exercise. Lovely! Warm welcome from Sue and at the Wagon & Horses.
